FAQ Gift Registry


How do I set up a gift registry with Whisk?
To get started, you can either set up your own registry online, or make an appointment to come in to the store. We recommend that you come in to see us! This way, you can check out all the merchandise we have in store (some of our newest merchandise might not have made it online yet!), go over catalogs and see what tickles your fancy, and work with a registry consultant one on one!

We offer a personalized touch that only an independent store can offer – your own personal wedding consultant! Need help picking out the best pans for you? Want to check the status of your gifts? This is where your consultant comes in! They will be your go-to person for any and everything registry related.

How do I alert my friends and family that I have registered with Whisk?
Once we get you set up with a registry, there will be a page on our website for you to share with your guests. Your guests can purchase items from your registry in three ways – online, over the phone or in person.

After my registry is set up, how can I make changes to it?
If you need to make any changes to your registry at any time, there are two ways to change it up – you can email us and we can change it, or you can login to your account and change it yourself!

How do I get my gifts?
When someone purchases a gift off your registry, it is carefully packed up and shipped directly to you. We currently ship to the 48 contiguous states, and to Alaska and Hawaii for an additional charge. A more detailed explanation of our shipping policy can be found here.

Can gift certificates be added to my registry?
Absolutely! A certificate is a great way to feed your impulse needs at Whisk! On our website guests can purchase a certificate in denominations of $25, $50, $100, $150, and $200.

I don’t see what I want on your website!
We can do a special order for you! Whether you're looking for that Le Creuset oven in a different size or color, or you'd like to hunt down the glasses you saw at that great cocktail bar, we can help you find it. As long as the item can be sourced from one of our regular suppliers (and we have hundreds!), we're happy to help you find exactly what you're looking for. There are items that show on my registry as being purchased – why haven’t I received them yet?
As much as we hate it, our suppliers do sometimes run out of stock of an item. We will do our best in those situations to communicate with your guests and you about the status of an item. If in the event an item has been discontinued, we will work with you to find a replacement.

Occasionally, your guests do choose to have gifts shipped to them, so that they can present the gifts to you in person. If you are at all concerned about the status of a gift, please feel free to email us at registry@whisknyc.com.

What happens when I’ve ordered an item that is out of stock?
Even if something is out of stock, it will be available to purchase online. As soon as the item comes back into stock, we will make sure it gets shipped to the happy couple. We find that most customers don't mind having to wait a short period to receive something they really want!

How can I track what gifts have been purchased for me from my registry?
We now have a "who to thank" link for registrants. If you would like to know who has purchased an item off your registry before you receive it, simply click on the "who to thank" link at the top of your registry. If you would prefer to be surprised, simply stay on the default registry list. Easy!

How long will it take for my registry made in the store to show up on the Whisk web site?
Allow us between 3 and 7 days to have it show on our site. We will always strive to have it on there as soon as possible!

Do you offer any type of completion discount?
Yes! You'll receive discount of 10% when you buy any unpurchased items from your registry, up to 6 months after your event date.

My great aunt Betty doesn’t have a computer. How can she place an order?
We are always here to help! In addition to our web store, gifts can be purchased in store or over the phone. Just call us at 718-218-7230, Monday to Friday, 10am - 8pm EST.

How do I make a return or an exchange?
Easy! If you’ve decided that something’s not right for you, just bring it in to receive either a store credit or get something new. We understand that we all change our minds sometime and we want to help you get what you really want and need.
