- Wash with soap and water only. Do not use abrasive cleaning products.
- Avoid "thermal shock" - (e.g.: Going directly from refrigerator to high heat. Begin cooking with low heat to avoid cracks or breakage.
- Do not use soapstone containers to store food.
- This soapstone product is handmade. Therefore measurements, weights and color may vary from piece to piece.
Seasoning Instructions for the First Time You Use Your Soapstone Cookware
- Place a small amount of cooking oil in a dish.
- Using a paper towel, spread the oil on all surfaces
- Pre-head oven to 325 degrees and place the tray or grill into the oven for 15 minutes.
- Let it cool and wash with sponge and soapy water. Allow to dry.
